In early January 2026, our team, together with Deutsche WindGuard GmbH, an international company specializing in the assessment of wind resources and the support of renewable energy projects, successfully launched a wind measuring campaign on two meteorological masts in the Karaganda region.
As part of the project, modern measuring equipment was installed on the masts, including heated Thyes Clima sensors that ensure stable operation in winter climatic conditions, as well as a Campbell Scientific CR1000x data logger for reliable data collection and storage.
A separate autonomous power supply system has been implemented to power the sensors, providing 230 V voltage through an inverter, which ensures continuity of measurements and high quality of the data obtained.
The launch of the campaign is an important stage in assessing the region's wind potential and further developing wind energy projects.
